It is a challenge to the Reformed Church in Erdély to become really Reformed: reformed according to the beginnings and sources of Christian life and thought. That means: developing a lifestyle of love and care sustained by prayer and intercession, living as foreigners, – foreigners, not due to political decisions of the past, but due to a much more fundamental decision of the Lord to make Christians heirs of a heavenly kingdom, with a citizenship in heaven. I am very well aware that it will be very hard to accomplish this new U-turn.

Community, Ecclesiastical and Political Circumstances between 1940–1945 . The study presents the relationship between the Romanian government and the Hungarian minority of Romania, especially the Hungarian Reformed Church between 1940 and 45. In August 1940 the Second Vienna Award tore Transylvania in two parts. Northern Transylvania became part of the Hungarian Kingdom, and Southern Transylvania remained under Romanian rule. About 500 000 ethnic Hungarians remained under Romanian rule and 200 000 of them were Calvinist Protestants. The relationship of these Hungarians with the Romanian majority was characterized by the wrath of the Romanians felt for the loss of considerable territories.

A Jel 16,16 egy nevet is említ, amikor elbeszéli, hogy a Góg és Magóg népe azon a helyen gyülekezik háborúra, amit zsidóul „Harmagedon”-nak neveznek. Jelen tanulmányunkban erre a megnevezésre tekintünk, úgy, hogy először az ezzel kapcsolatos elméleteket foglaljuk össze, ezt követően pedig egy olyan alapvető szempontra hívjuk fel a figyelmet, amely úgy tűnik, hogy elkerülte a magyarázók figyelmét. Ez lehetőséget nyújthat arra, hogy jobban megértsük János gondolatainak hátterét, és közelebb kerüljünk Harmagedon titkának megértéséhez is.
