Negative Aspects in the Picture about יהוה. Approaches of Three Writers of Old Testament Theology. Different modes of interpretation drive to different conclusions. This study examines these differences in the works by W. Eichrodt, G. von Rad- and W. Brueggemann of Old Testament theology. The two former authors use the historical interpretation, while the third one is the representative of the rhetorical and narrative theology. The theme of Yahweh’s negative aspects is always a stumbling-block not only for laymen, but also for the scholars of theology. Differences deriving from interpretation are illustrated through three biblical examples: the heavenly scenes in 1Kings 22 and Isaiah 6, Saul’s story, and that of the Book of Job. The present study intend to show that the diachronic approach aims at resolving the dissonances found in the texts about Yahweh’s unexplainable deeds using a kind of development-theory of religion or of literary forms (laying stress on the harmonizing contexts of covenant or of salvation-history). As opposed to this, the synchronic examination of texts reveals a „never accomplished” concept about God. Thus we may conclude that the openened testimonies about God and the dissonances between them must keep the disciplines of theology ready to modify or rewrite their conclusions.

Martin Luther (1483–1546).Das Jahr 2008 könnte auch Luther-Jubiläumsjahr genannt werden. Rund vor 525 Jahren am 11. Dezember 1483 war der weltbekannte Held der Reformation geboren. Vor mehr als einem halben Jahrtausend! Das kann nur von einem besonderen Gefühl begleitet ausgesprochen werden. Während der Jahrhunderte hat dieser Name von seinem Glanz nichts verloren, sondern er ist in unserer Kirche und in allen Kirchen der Welt noch leuchtender und bekannter geworden. In unserer ungarischen Kirche hat sich dieser Name so eingebürgert, dass er samt den Namen Calvins und Zwinglis immer so erwähnt wird, als wäre er als Ungar geboren. Diese Erinnerung möchte Luthers Lebensbahn und die Schwerpunkte seiner reformatorischen Theologie wachrufen.

Mindkét szövegezés egyaránt fontos az egyéni kegyesség gyakorlásában éppúgy, mint a gyülekezeti közösség használatában. A vizsgálódás azért időszerű, mert az 1998. évi új Ágendáskönyv: A Magyar Református Egyház istentiszteleti rendtartása a hagyományostól többé-kevésbé eltérő fordítást tartalmaz s ez mindmáig sok egyháztagot zavar mind imaéletében, mind pedig hite megvallásában.
