This lecture analyses the engaging effect ofJesus’ commissioning of his disciples on the function and ministry of the presbyters. Moreover, it sketches several modalities of cooperation between ministers and presbyters in building up together a concordant congregational life.

Nachdem der Generalkonvent der Ungarischen Reformierten Kirche am 11. November 2015 eine Erklärung betreffend die europäische Flüchtlings- und Migrationsfrage verabschiedet hat, befasste sich auch der Synodalrat der Reformierten Kirche in Rumänien in seiner Sitzung am 26. November 2015 mit diesem Problem. Der Synodalrat beschloss, in dieser Frage eine öffentliche Debatte zu eröffnen. Nach deren Abschluss wird die Synode um Stellungnahme gebeten. Zum Einstieg veröffentlichen wir die genannte Erklärung des ungarisch-reformierten Generalkonventes, sowie je einen Beitrag der Theologieprofessoren i. R. Juhász Tamás und Szűcs Ferenc.

This article presents the Hungarian translation of one of Walter Brueggemann’s sermons with a short analysis. The effectiveness of Brueggemann’s preaching is strongly related with the role that he assigns to preaching: he does not merely explain the word and apply its message to the contemporary world by means of metaphors, but Brueggemann also uses a problematizing type of exposition.

The Transylvanian Reformed ministers of the 17th century received their diplomas within the framework of the annual General Synod. In this paper we present a unique diploma for ministry – so-called formata – from 1702, emitted for János Berzétei K. by the General Synod of Marosvásárhely (Târgu Mureș), printed at Kolozsvár in the workshop of Miklós Misztótfalusi Kis. Currently this formata is kept in the archives of the library of the Protestant Theological Institute (MS 66).

This article presents some specific – mainly linguistic – challenges that a minister living and working in the Transylvanian Reformed diasporas has to face.
